Does using epilator make hair regrowth thicker and coarse?

Posted under Silk Epilator by admin on Sunday 30 November 2008

I used epilator(Braun silk epil) only once.I can see regrowth of my hair very badly. it has grown coarsely? does anybody faced similar problem? do let me know if i should continue using epilator or stop it

I love my Braun Silk-Epil.

I suspect the regrowth only appears to be more coarse because you are very aware of it right now. If you have dark hair it will be more noticeable for a while. It will take regular use over several months to see the regrowth become finer and more sparse. So stay with using your epilator.

When I first got mine I used it twice a week, similar to shaving. I also used a shave minimizing lotion daily,. After following this practice for well over two years, I can now go for weeks before any regrowth is noticeable enough to require attention.

I recommend staying with the epilator. In the end you will love the smooth results.

What do you think about Braun's new Silk epil X'elle??

Posted under Braun Epil by admin on Sunday 30 November 2008

I need your opinion. I m thinking of buying it. It looks great on TV and web site but I would like to hear "first-hand" experience from the women who used it cause I already have one older version of Braun's silk epil and I m not so happy with it…It tends to miss many hairs. I have sensitive skin and I cannot use typical rasors, so if this really works I would be extra happy :) )
thanks

I want to, say it is GREAT!!! It won't hurt you , and it is not painful at all… and it really works…

Does the Braun Silk-Epil Epilator hurt?

Posted under Silk Epilator by admin on Friday 28 November 2008

I so, what can I do to prevent the pain?

I have that product!
When i first tried it hurt a lilttle bit but a useful tip is to stretch your skin when u epilate.(its doesn't really hurt that way!)
Then second time it doesn't hurt its jusrt like little pinches!

Braun Silk-Epil? Have You Tried This?

Posted under Silk Braun by admin on Friday 28 November 2008

Has anyone tried the braun silk-epil?
does it work and is it painful?

also if anyone could find some places that sell it cheaper in the UK that would be great.

thanks. x
which series do you have too.

I’ve got one and really like it. It will not give you the super smooth felling you get immeadiately after shaving but you don’t get the spiky, stubble either. I found it a bit nippy the first time I used it, especially under the arms but the longer I use it the less painful it is, it’s no more painful than waxing anyway.

Tesco has them on special just now (that’s where I got mine) but check on amazon for other offers.

Is using the Silk Epil by Braun same as doing waxing on your legs?

Posted under Braun Epil by admin on Friday 28 November 2008

My mom just wanted to know =]

Yes, it does the exact same thing, it pulls out the hairs by the roots.

But of course the Silk Epil takes a little bit longer to use than having someone rip off a big piece of wax (and hundreds of hairs) in a second.

Can someone tell me the difference between Braun 5270 and Braun SE7280 Silk-épil Body System Epilator?

Posted under Silk Epilator by admin on Wednesday 26 November 2008

Can someone plz tell me whats the difference between Braun 5270 Silk-épil X'elle Body System Epilator and Braun SE7280 Silk-Epil Xpressive Epilator Body System(Corded).I could buy either, the 5270 is about 70 and the 7280 is a 100 bucks but I want to make sure that the 7280 is better before I spend the money.I read the reviews on amazon and one reviewer who bought 7280 said that both work nearly the same…..
Also what does it mean being corded….does it come with a cord that can be used as an adapter? In that sense, then, the one with no cord also would be the same as it comes with an adapter and with no battery option.

i have 7280. it has to be used with the cord, so no batteries to charge. my leg hair is brittle, so it didnt work on me, but it tried it on a patch of my hubby's inch long leg hair and it took almost a month to start growing back in, it still has reached full length yet.

Can I use epilator (BRAUN epilator Silk.epil.Xelle 5270) during pregnancy?

As epilator is an electronic device & uses electric current to remove hair from root, is it advisable to use during pregnancy?
As epilator is an electronic device & uses electric current to remove hair from root, is it advisable and safe to use during pregnancy? Has anyone confirmed from the doctor before using it?

Ive used an epilator throughout my pregnancy so far, although since i have become pregnant, i noticed my hair doesnt grow as fast as it used to, so im epilating every 8-10 weeks. I never thought epilating could be a problem in pregnancy. btw, im 25 weeks pregnant
