Hello, I had an epilator a few years back and it worked ok. However it did hurt a little. My sister thought it hurt a lot. *However the newer ones do not hurt. They have improved them a lot. I recently bought the Braun silk epil. This now has,epilator with massage (so it doesnt hurt), and normal shaving head. I was shocked to find the new Braun works better and does not hurt. I wouldnt recommend buying a cheapo brand, as they will be inferior and put you off for life. Stick to Braun and Phillips. Also anyone who used them a while back may not realise the newer versions work better and dont hurt. J

i was thinking of getting this product. how much is it?is it worth it?does it hurt? I mean, I know it will hurt a bit, but i’ve been shaving my legs for years now, so i have tough hair comparied to someone who is waxing their legs. I want to use it also on my arms, though I wax there now. can I use it for private parts as well or is not sensative enough?? which exactly should I look to get?? thanks for the help girls!!
I have a Braun epilator, the blue one. It works SOOO good! It usually doesn’t miss a hair & it has the most tweezers of all epilators so far. The pain is equivalent to waxing. Its good to invest in something like an epilator in alternative to shaving and waxing, which is a waste of time and money. You’re just gonna keep buying and buying. The hairs on my legs used to be coarse, but it has grown back lighter/finer. Also, because my hair is coarse, they usually grow back in 1 or 2 days from shaving. Now my hair doesn’t grow back until about a week or two. It hurts but its worth the pain. I love showing off my legs in the summer and I don’t have to prick my boyfriend when we’re cuddling lol !! (Due to shaving that is!) BTW, drugstore.com sells them at the best price, thats where I got mines. Target has it too, but its like 74.99!!

I have an epilator myself, however it is not this exact model. I have very sensitive skin and it does not harm my skin at all. The device doesnt act on the skin itself; the tweezers pick up and pluck the hairs without piching/scratching etc the skin at all. The only thing that happens to my skin is that the hair follicle goes red for around half an hour afterwards, just like it does when i pluck my eyebrows – its the same concept only automated! I would recommend an epilator and have heard good things about the model you mention and am considering buying one myself as i have had my old one for a few years now.

Have you tried holding it the other way round? The tweezer bits turn a certain way, it works better if they are turning towards you. Also you need to move it in small circles over the spot so it can pick the hairs up. If that fails then its just a bit rubbish!
