which one should I choose? I can’s stand the pain caused by waxing, so I want to buy an epilator, but I don’t know which one is better. Unfortunately I heard that after using an epilator hair grows under your skin..
Hello, I had an epilator a few years back and it worked ok. However it did hurt a little. My sister thought it hurt a lot. *However the newer ones do not hurt. They have improved them a lot. I recently bought the Braun silk epil. This now has,epilator with massage (so it doesnt hurt), and normal shaving head. I was shocked to find the new Braun works better and does not hurt. I wouldnt recommend buying a cheapo brand, as they will be inferior and put you off for life. Stick to Braun and Phillips. Also anyone who used them a while back may not realise the newer versions work better and dont hurt. J

Epilators really do hurt. I suggest you buy a cheap one first (superdrug do one for £9.99) then see how you cope with the pain and wether you like the results etc. Then invest in a more expensive one after you've tried (i hear braun are the best). It's horrible splashing out on something then not even using/liking it!
)
Hope this helps

Mines the Braun silk-epil.
i have to say, it hurts badly, and it takes ages to get all the hairs! – i've stopped now because its not worth it.
you are supposed to start small, then keep getting new ones as you get used to them until you are up to the most powerful one.
I wasnt prepared to keep spending the money and it hurts too bad!
=[ xx

I have to Philips epilator and you do get used to the pain I dont use it on my bikini line though I still get that waxed. I now have bald patches on my legs were no hairs grow at all. It is good and I would recommend it but my friend has the Braun top of of the range one and I tried that and I would say that is better. Boots are always doing deals on both brands. I would have a look there.

I have used both and they are about the same in what they do. The first time, it will hurt as your body is not used to individual hairs being pulled out by the roots. It's more of a tingling than a pain. The hair does stay away longer and comes abck finer so you can get away with not removing it for longer periods of time.
Panasonic has a new one that comes with 3 dfferent heads: epilator, shaver and bikini trimmer. It's the best value for the price sine thet are all in the 60-80 dollar range. And, this one can be used on wet or dry skin.
